Retired Married 2
Married to Tim Thomas class of 1967 for almost 50 years.  Lived and worked in Australia for several years and then took a 6 month trip overland visiting countries from Asia overland to Europe.  We have two grown children with children of their own and we see them often.  I still see Dottie Pappas and Mary Ann Barnes as often as possible and we have lots of laughs when we get together. Retired Art Teacher www.kuhlmanart.com Widowed 2
Wow...50 years...what am I?   I am a watercolor artist and a father of two great "kids": Scottie, 26 and Shelby, 24.   I was blessed with 24 years of a wonderful marriage.   My wife Julie passed on five years ago.   I retired from teaching art after 42 years which went by in a blink.   I am on a kick of painting Bermuda, having visited there nine times.   I have lived in Maryland since graduating college but get back to NYC about once a month.   This will be my first time back to Garden City in many years and actually my first time returning to any GCHS reunion.   I have really enjoyed being in on the planning stages of the weekend and am very much looking forward to returning "home". Business Owner Married 3
I attended the Junior High (not the high school), and because I was a bit of a cut up (gently phrased), I went to Chaminade for my sophomore year.  After that, I went to Switzerland for my last two years of high school.  Then Georgetown.  Then the Army, Thunderbird Grad School, Philadelphia for my first job, then Beirut, Amman, and London before settling in San Francisco in 1983.  Married first time to Beatrice from Sweden, and currently (last 20 years) to Beth of Hawaii.  Three children, all living in Stockholm at the moment.  Still running two companies, and not thinking about retirement. Dentist Married 3
Hi everyone.  I’m looking forward to the reunion and seeing many of you!  As for an update, I have been truly blessed both personally and professionally.  On the personal side, I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Diane Salem (Class of ‘69), for 45 wonderful years.  We reside in Garden City, surrounded by our three children and seven beautiful grandchildren, the youngest of which we just welcomed in August.  Time really does fly.  Our oldest grandchild turned 10 in May!  Weekends are spent at the beach in the summer with family and on the sports fields the rest of the year watching our grandchildren play soccer, lacrosse and basketball.  Professionally, I continue to enjoy practicing dentistry, which I’ve been doing for the past 42 years.  In addition, I serve on the Board of Directors at a health insurance company.  In our spare time, Diane and I enjoy traveling both domestically and overseas.

Architect Married 2
Married since 1974, two children - daughter and a son and a granddaughter who graduated college this past semister. I became a Registered Architect in New York State back in 1976 and a member of the American Institute of Architects.  Traveled to Italy and Greece,  living in Florence and Athens during the summer school programs in Europe. Worked for a small graphic design office developing the wayfinding and environmental graphics program for the Smithsonian's Washington Mall and for the Washington, D.C. Zoo.  Spent a year working for a small Architectural firm in St.Croix, USVI. Came back to NYC and worked for two of the top NYC offices and currently working, for the past 15 years, at one of the top 10 firms in NYC with offices all over the globe. Not retired just yet - work is too interesting to give it up but hope to slow down and work part time after another two years.
PS - Mike Tegnell and I both worked for the same firm.  He's still working as  Landscape Architect. We're both in the same building.  He's on the fifth floor and I on the third floor.

Regards..... Tom Monsees ( de Monse - changed it back to the orignal French after graduation from college.)
