FRIDAY--SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 21-23, 2018
GARDEN CITY, NEW YORK

After a great Reunion Weekend it is time to give a big Thank You to all who made this possible.

Getting this process started, we had enthusiastic leaders.
From the beginning, Suzanne Hall-Westcott handled the surveys, the evites & eblasts, made arrangements with Leo’s, secured the Saturday venue, planned the dinner and entertainment, and coordinated the slide show/video presentation.  Getting us together for this was the natural culmination of years of her championing mini-reunions at Homecoming.

Peggy Emslie made the hotel & shuttle arrangements, and orchestrated the Nature Walk at the Bird Sanctuary.

Kerry Durr Roscoe did the classmate search, set up the website, created the graphics and did postal mailings, handled registration & nametags, procured the photographer & DJ, finalized the Class Directory, and will continue to upload the photos you send.

George Cook put together and officiated at Saturday morning’s very moving Memorial Service for our deceased classmates. Carol Anderson wrote a poem in their honor read by Kathleen Karejwa. Jim Kuhlman, Kerry Durr Roscoe, Ed George and Janet Porcaro Gustafson joined George in the readings, and Doris Brevoort was the bell ringer.

Donna Rutlin, Janet Porcaro Gustafson & Jim Kuhlman decorated our dinner venue.
Janet & Donna created the striking memorial display for our deceased classmates.
Donna also organized the memorabilia tables and was Suzanne’s right hand for final arrangements for the dinner.
Janet assisted with classmate search & was a dynamo on follow-up phone calls.
Jim was a consummate proof reader & editor, back up treasurer and our sense of  humor.
Ronnie DiComo and Ed George helped with Saturday night set-up.

John Strampfer served to welcome you at Leo’s, and helped with follow-up phone calls.

Our “boots on the ground” in GC:
Bob Vassalotti was our Bus Tour Coordinator, setting things up with the Historical Society and School District Bus people.
April Storm Wenk was our interface with Seventh Street Café for our Sunday Brunch.
Christine Soffey Dowd was our photographer for Leo’s.

We’d also like to thank to the generous classmates who donated funds to make our weekend even more special, and especially to the person who lent us working capital to make deposits and payments while we waited for ticket sales to come in.

A final thank you to thank Nancy Mann from the Class of ’67 Reunion Committee who shared so much wonderful information and even came with Maureen McKenna to staff the check-in table for us at the dinner.

Most of all
THANK YOU ALL FOR COMING!!!!
